USING AI ACADEMICALLY The new AI guidelines feature a three-zone chart that clearly states the way students should use AI depending on the zone in which it’s it. “The chart is really helpful because it’s direct and easy to follow,” said Maeve Hammond ‘27. “When teachers put it in assignments, there’s no question on how much AI we can use on that given assignment.”

PLENTIFUL PERSPECTIVES In eighth grade, history students look into different media biases and how they show through the website AllSides which shows the impact bias has on journalism. “The lesson we had was really important,” said Evan Teeter ‘29. “It's important to know how to get the facts when we research what is actually happening in the news.”

PICKETT PICKED Greenhills basketball is going in a new direction by hiring new Varsity Head coach Jason Pickett. With lots of prior experience, Greenhills looks forward to good seasons under his coaching and hope to keep the team talented. “He’s awesome, we are really thrilled to have him at Greenhills,” said Ward.

COORDINATING FROM THE CORNER Inside of the trainer’s room, Greenhills’ Health Service Coordinator Christine Gajar works to make sure that all Greenhills staff are ready in case of emergency. “When we hire coaches or when we're onboarding coaches, we'll ask for their [training] certificates,” said Gajar, “if they don't have them, then we’ll provide that training.”

MONUMENTAL Greenhills has not had a Washington D.C. trip in three years. “The Washington D.C. trip has been one of my favorite memories while at Greenhills. It created inseparable bonds between me and my classmates that would last throughout high school,” said Leo Applegate ‘23.

ON THE ICE Beau Brewer ‘22 awaits the puck in an attempt to score. As the lone Greenhills senior on the hockey team, Brewer was elected captain by his teammates. Brewer played on the regional winning team during the 2018-2019 season and helped lead the team to a Catholic League and Metro League title during the 2020-2021 season. He was also named a Catholic League honorable mention during his sophomore year. “I love this team,” said Brewer. “Even though many of the players go to FGR, I have shared many special moments and bonded with them. The hockey team is like a second family to me.”

The team was unable to huddle up after points during the previous season, but due to changes in the COVID guidelines, the team is now able to resume this volleyball tradition. “It feels great to be able to huddle up after points again,” Hummel said. “The team is now able to bond better.”
